By submitting your information through the Site, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.

3. Personal Information We Collect

When you join the waitlist or create an account, we collect some or all of the following personal information:

  • Contact information: your email address.
  • Communication preferences: the types of communications you have consented to receive (launch notification, product updates, or both).
  • Consent records: the date and time of your consent, the wording presented to you at the time of consent, and the page on which consent was given.
  • Referral information: how you found the Site, such as the campaign or source recorded in the link you followed (for example, UTM parameters).

We do not collect payment information or any other personal information through the Site.

4. Purposes of Collection and Use

We collect and use your personal information for the following purposes:

  • to send you a notification when Tallyvale becomes available, together with any benefits offered to waitlist members, if you have consented to receive this notification;
  • to send you periodic updates about the development of Tallyvale, if you have separately consented to receive these updates;
  • to maintain records of your consent and communication preferences, as required by applicable law, including Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL);
  • to understand which channels and campaigns lead people to join the waitlist or create an account, so we can measure and improve our outreach;
  • to respond to your inquiries and requests; and
  • to understand and improve the performance of the Site.

We will not use your personal information for any other purpose without first obtaining your consent, except where permitted or required by law.

5. Consent

We collect, use, and disclose your personal information only with your consent, except where otherwise permitted or required by law. You provide consent by selecting the applicable checkbox(es) on the waitlist form. Each type of communication requires separate consent.

You may withdraw your consent at any time, as described in Section 9. Withdrawing consent for one type of communication does not affect your consent for the other.

6. Disclosure of Personal Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information, and we do not use or disclose it for third-party advertising purposes.

We disclose personal information only to service providers that process it on our behalf and for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including:

  • Supabase, which provides the database in which waitlist and signup information is stored, and delivers our emails; and
  • Vercel, which hosts the Site

We require our service providers to protect personal information in a manner consistent with this Privacy Policy and to use it only for the services they provide to us.

We may also disclose personal information where required by law, such as in response to a valid court order or other legal process.

7. Storage and Transfer Outside Canada

Our service providers may store and process personal information outside of Canada, including in the United States. Personal information stored or processed in another country is subject to the laws of that country and may be accessible to its courts, law enforcement, and national security authorities.

8. Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as you remain subscribed to one or more types of communication, or until you request its deletion.

If you unsubscribe from all communications, we may retain a minimal record consisting of your email address and the date of your withdrawal of consent, to ensure that we do not contact you again. We retain consent records for the period required to demonstrate compliance with applicable law.

9. Your Rights and Choices

Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:

  • Withdraw consent: You may unsubscribe from any type of communication at any time by using the unsubscribe link included in every email we send, or by contacting us. We will give effect to your request within ten (10) business days.
  • Access: You may request access to the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correction: You may request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete personal information.
  • Deletion: You may request that we delete your personal information, subject to any retention obligations described in Section 8.

To make a request, contact us using the information in Section 2. We may need to verify your identity before responding. We will respond within the time required by applicable law.

10. Residents of the European Economic Area and United Kingdom

If you are located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we process your personal information on the basis of your consent. In addition to the rights described in Section 9, you may have the right to restrict or object to processing, the right to data portability, and the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority.

11. Safeguards

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information to protect personal information against loss, theft, and unauthorized access, use, disclosure, copying, or modification. Access to personal information is limited to individuals who require it for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

12. Children

The Site is not directed to individuals under the age of 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe that such an individual has provided personal information to us, please contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on the Site with a revised "Last updated" date. If we make a change that affects how we use personal information you have already provided, we will obtain your consent before applying the change to that information, where required by law.
